About Us

We are a family owned company, based in Sandwich, MA, that was born out of the frustration that sets in when a carefully tended garden is devastated in a few short hours by hungry critters.  Tired of having to share his ripening produce with uninvited guests, the founder decided to fence in his garden and keep them out.  He quickly realized that this was not so easy because most fencing available is geared to livestock and large farms so - in true Yankee fashion - he began to experiment with various materials and designs.  After several seasons he came up with an ingenious system so effective that it kept out all the critters around his garden and in 1997 he decided to make this system available to others and Mr. McGregor’s Fence® was born. 

Since then Mr. McGregor’s Fence® has become the star of Mr. McGregor’s Garden Store and complements the many products we carry to enhance and improve the home garden experience. We’re committed to offering products that really work and are not harmful to people, animals or the environment.
