Safer Caterpillar and Worm Killer with B.t.
Bacillus thuringiensis (B.t.) is a naturally occurring microorganism that produces chemicals toxic to insects. When caterpillars or worms ingest B.t. it interferes with their digestion and they stop eating and die within days.
In the vegetable garden B.t. control cabbage worms, cabbage loopers, tomato horn worms, tent caterpillars, web worms and other leaf-eating caterpillars on brassicas (like broccoli, kohlrabi, cabbage and cauliflower), celery, lettuce, spinach, peas and tomatoes. Can be used right up to harvest.
On ornamentals and landscape plants B.t. controls tent caterpillars, gypsy moth larvae, budworms, bagworms, spanworms, spring and fall canker worms and other leaf-eating caterpillars.

Safer BioNEEM
The active ingredient in BioNEEM is azadirachtin, a Neem tree extract that works by disrupting insects' hormonal balance, killing them before they molt into their next life stage. It is safe to use around children and pets and breaks down in 7-10 days without leaving any residue. To be completely effective several applications may be needed. It is safe for use on vegetables and fruits right up until harvest.

End All works by penetrating and destroying the insects' outer shell or membrane. This results in dehydration and kills the insects. It is effective in all stages, from egg to adult, and works on both soft and hard bodied insects. It breaks down in the soil without leaving residue and can be used right up until the day of harvest.
In the vegetable garden and orchard End All controls aphids, whiteflies, gypsy moth and tent caterpillars, beetles including Japanese beetle larvae, harlequin bugs, leafhoppers, mealybugs and brown marmorated stink bugs.

Diatomaceous Earth - OMRI listed for organic gardening
DE is a naturally occcurring soft silica rock that, when crumbled, breaks down into a powder of tiny glass-like shards that cut an insect's shell or membrane. There are different types of DE and Safer's formula is food grade silicon dioxide with added bait to entice insects to eat it. Once ingested, the shards work from within and the insects die within 48 hours.
In the vegetable garden and orchard DE kills crawling insects like ants, earwigs and crickets. We have also found it to be effective against cucumber beetles and squash bugs. The abrasive shards mean that slugs and snails won't go through it. Can be used right up till harvest.
Indoors DE kills cockroaches, bed bugs, ants, earwigs, silverfish, crickets, millipedes and centipedes.
